sent e-mails to several in an atem tonight discredit kelley. she had classified information stored on her computer. >> weeks after sandy slams the door we are wondering why it took the red cross so long to reach some of the hardest hit areas. they sent staff and supplies to areas barely touched by the storm in order to avoid damaging the supplies. it took the red cross three-days after sandy to arrive in new york city. we are also finding out that fema nay not have been as prepared as it could have been. >> the hearing is set today for accused movie massacre gunman james homes. holmes reportedly tried to kill himself several times in jail.

the gains for the year. the dow jones transportation average already did that. that index is key it takes the shippers the airlines railroads delivering goods for us to buy. the tech heavy index the nasdaq that is officially in a correction with huge stocks apple, google up more than 10 percent. >> we could erase all of the gains from this year. we can't afford that. >> talk to us about this the u.s. is number 12 for the best countries to do business. new zealand number one. >> we were number two back in 2009. we were all of the way down not even making the top ten list. >> forbes was the best for business. hong kong followed by singapore and canada. why? corporate taxes.

years worth of delinquent garbage bills. he wants to cut hundreds of worker's pay to minimum wage. 17 minutes after the hour president obama will be on the ground in new york city today to get a first-hand look at all of the devastation left by super storm sandy. this as a state attorney general in new york launched an investigation. it has two major power utilities over their handling of power outages. it is freezing. we are live at oceanside new york with details. >> good morning to you. good morning everyone. we are standing outside of an outreach center that the power authority where customers can come to get answers. believe it or not there are people in long eye p land without power even as we speak.

this hour. a popular energy drink could potentially kill you. there have been more than 13 deaths -- actually 13 deaths over the past four years reported and 5 hour energy drink may in fact be to blame. in addition to the death the fda received 90 report abouts that drink and more than 30 cases of those reports involve serious or tlieftening injuries including heart attacks and convulsions. last month federal officials linked five deaths to another popular brand, monster energy. we will keep you posted. the date of our country's credit rating rests in law america's hands. downgrades are likely if they don't fix the battle of the fiscal cliff. as of now billions of dollars of spending cuts and tax increases will go into effect january 1st and will have a double dip recession.

midwest back through the rockies looking at a system here and a storm system across the southeast which will go off the coast and we will watch that for further develop: the west will be unsettled for the next several days. a storm system offshore here will come together and bring a very unsettled coastline over the next several days into friday and next week. a lot of rain and snow along the coast. eventually in towards the northern rockies. let's take a look at the precipitation accumulation over the next 72-hours. several inches of rain and heavy snow in some cases speak of snow as we head into next week. right now ladies we are going to keep that one offshore. >> they are going to love that snow, the skiers.

update. they are scanning social networking sites block web sites to find trends within health related posts so they can analyze that data for indications of possible threats. it will be analyzeed by software that can sift out the same kind of nearby. analyze to see if your illness could be relate to do a bio outbreak or bioterror attack. dhs is being sued for using facebook accounts. in january the dhs showed documents that it is being required on any media reports that reflected neglecttyly on the response efforts. the dhs says it is already monitoring information posted on heavily traffic media sites.
